# Roles and visibility

What admins, team leads, and members can see and do in Caliber.

Role definitions and who connects each integration live in [Prerequisites](/getting-started/prerequisites.md). This page covers how visibility behaves day to day.

| Role | What you see | Typical powers |
| --------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Admin** (and super admin) | Org-wide Home, Insights, Teams, Practitioners, Settings | Connect integrations, invite members, manage alerts channels, Code attribution |
| **Team lead** | Home and people scoped to your starred team (or Shapes reporting subtree); can peer-browse other teams’ aggregates | Coaching and briefing for your team; not org-wide integration admin |
| **Member** | Your own usage (person page / My usage), habit progress, Caliber MCP | No org Home; cannot connect integrations |

Who must approve each third-party product is listed in [Access you need to grant](/getting-started/access-you-need-to-grant.md).

## Self-scoped members

Members are redirected away from org Home. Their day-to-day surfaces are personal usage, habit, and MCP. See [For practitioners](/using-caliber/for-practitioners.md).

## Team leads

Leads deep-link into their team and may open a briefing board and peer comparisons. See [For team leads](/using-caliber/for-team-leads.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.trycaliber.ai/getting-started/roles-and-visibility.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
