# Data freshness and sync schedule

When Caliber syncs providers, directory, alerts, and related jobs (UTC).

All times below are **UTC**. The first time you connect a credential, Caliber typically runs a longer **historical backfill** (about 365 days where the provider supports it). Ongoing syncs use a shorter lookback.

| Cadence                                               | What runs                                                                  |
| ----------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Four times daily (`00:00`, `06:00`, `12:00`, `18:00`) | Provider usage sync (Anthropic, Cursor, and other connected usage sources) |
| Every 6 hours (at `:23`)                              | Directory sync (Entra)                                                     |
| Daily `08:00` | Alert evaluation (cost alerts also run when a sync finishes) |

If Home looks empty right after connect, wait for the first sync or backfill to finish rather than reconnecting repeatedly.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.trycaliber.ai/connect-your-providers/data-freshness-and-sync-schedule.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
