# AWS Bedrock

Connect AWS Bedrock metrics via IAM assume-role or access keys.

**Preferred auth:** Cross-account IAM role (CloudFormation / Terraform)\
**Alternative:** Access keys\
**Who:** AWS administrator

## Permissions

Caliber expects a role named `caliber-bedrock-connector` (or equivalent) with at least:

* `bedrock:ListAgents`
* `bedrock:GetAgent`
* `cloudwatch:ListMetrics`
* `cloudwatch:GetMetricData`

Trust Caliber’s connector principal with an **External ID** as shown in the connect modal. A CloudFormation template is linked from the in-app setup guide (`/cfn/bedrock-connector.yaml` on the Caliber app host).

## Steps

1. Open **Settings → Integrations → AWS Bedrock**.
2. Deploy the role (CFN/Terraform) or prepare keys.
3. Paste role ARN / External ID (or keys) and test the connection.

## What Caliber reads

Invocations, tokens, and latency for Bedrock models and agents from CloudWatch / Bedrock APIs.

## What Caliber does not read

Application data in your AWS accounts beyond those metrics.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.trycaliber.ai/connect-your-providers/aws-bedrock.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
